Navigation

Use only the SirsiDynix e-Library toolbar buttons to navigate through the SirsiDynix e-Library. The following options may be available for navigation.

Cancel allows you to cancel an existing request made in I Need Material, Contact Us, or Reserves (if available).
Change Display takes you to the Change Display page, where you can change the library holdings that are displayed (from all branches or a particular branch), change whether full or brief records are displayed, or change the record format display to MARC format.
Go Back returns the display to the activity screen that immediately precedes the current screen.
Help accesses the SirsiDynix e-Library's online help.
History allows you to search again on a previous listing by displaying the Web resource or Z39.50 site search terms used during your SirsiDynix e-Library session.
Holdings is available from hit lists of URLs or hit lists of catalog records from other libraries. Holdings allows you to view relevant holdings in your library's catalog.
Kept takes you to the Kept page, which includes a listing of titles from the search results that you have chosen to mark for future reference during the current SirsiDynix e-Library session. On the Kept page, you can sort item information by author, title, or call number. For multilibrary systems you can sort by library branch or by all branches. In addition, you can view, save, e-mail, or print the item record contents as follows.
You can view the record on your computer screen using a default text program.
You can save the record in text format on your computer using a default text program.
You can print the record from your computer using a default text program.
You can e-mail the item's information to a specified e-mail account. If the e-mail was successful, the SirsiDynix e-Library will return a "search results were mailed" message.
Link to Page allows you to create a permanent link (permalink) to a SirsiDynix e-Library page; the permalink can be copied and used in a Web page, e-mail message, or a Web log (blog).

Alternatively, you can use Link to Page to open the SirsiDynix e-Library page in a new tab in your browser. With this page, you can create a bookmark using your browser's built-in bookmarking functionality. The bookmark allows you to return to a particular SirsiDynix e-Library page, including a Search Results page or a Details display page.

Permanent Lists takes you to the My Lists page, which includes a listing of titles from the search results that you have chosen to mark for future reference. Unlike the Kept list, the permanent lists are retained between SirsiDynix e-Library sessions until you choose to remove them, or the library purges them after a certain period of list inactivity. On the My Lists page, you can sort item information by author, title, or call number. For multilibrary systems you can sort by library branch or by all branches. In addition, you can view, save, e-mail, or print the item record contents, and place holds as follows.

You can save the record in text format on your computer using a default text program.

Limit Search jumps you to the bottom of the Search Results page to the Search Again area. You may limit your original search in a number of ways, including by language, library shelving location, or publication year.
Logout logs you out of the SirsiDynix e-Library and returns you to the login screen. You must log in to the SirsiDynix e-Library again to activate functionality.

Other Resources takes you directly to either a SirsiDynix SingleSearch or Serial Solutions Central Search link, provided your library has purchased a search service. These options allow you to search for a term or phrase over several sources.
The Top arrow returns you to the top of the SirsiDynix e-Library window.
Virtual Reference takes you directly to the Virtual Reference librarian at Library Systems and Services, Inc. (LSSI), provided your library has purchased this service. The hours of operation are 8:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday. The service is not open on holidays.
X-Refs displays when a record has cross-references attached to it and if a search term matches an entry in a thesaurus. The X-Refs option may not be available at all libraries.
